Liverpool won the derby again this time with two goals, scored by Mascherano (deflected from Everton’s Yobo) and Kuyt.
After a constant pounding by Everton, it was Liverpool that emerged from the Merseyside derby unscathed.
Hopefully with the Champion’s League grueling matches behind them, Liverpool could finally concentrate on rebuilding their title challenge.
