Raju’s at Jalan Gasing, PJ
I had a nice lunch last week with Azril at Raju’s Jalan Gasing (if you don’t know the way, Google it). I have frequently visited the restaurant ever since I was in primary school way back in the 80s. My house is not too far away and I normally walked with a group of friends, but that’s a different story which I probably tell you later.
My taste buds may changed throughout the time, but miraculously the food at Raju’s tasted the same ever after nearly 30 over years since I first set my foot there. I wonder how do they managed to do that? Even my mum’s cooking tasted different now.

Nasi Daun Pisang (aka Banana Leaf Rice)
Well, we opted for the “daun pisang” rice treatment, will all the “kuah campor”, condiments and stuff. The taste of dipping your hand in the rice covered with the gravy is godsend! And don’t forget to lick your fingers as well. It really worth it. I won’t talk much and let the pics tell you the story.

Ayam Berempah (Chicken in spicy gravy)
They do have fried chickens, but for maximum food experience, try the chicken in spicy gravy. You won’t regret it, I swear.

Teh Ais Gelas Besar
And to water down all the spicy food, a glass of the “teh ais kow” is in order. What a day!
